Should Reps Read or Listen?: New Study Sheds Light On Audiobooks

In her recent article Sarah Knapton, science editor for the Telegraph, breaks down the latest Journal of Neuroscience paper titled: The representation of semantic information across human cerebral cortex during listening versus reading is invariant to stimulus modality

The article and study give life science trainers a more compelling argument when including audio elements such as podcasts, narrated eTutorials, and audio museum walks into blended curriculums.

At a time when more people are absorbing information via audiobooks, podcasts and even audio texts, our study shows that, whether they're listening to or reading the same materials, they are processing semantic information similarly.
